Bio
Dr. Lynda Gerberg, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Pediatric Sports Medicine Physician. Dr. Gerberg trained in Pediatrics at Cohen Children's Hospital in New York after which she went to Harvard Medical School/Boston Children's Hospital to pursue a fellowship in Sports Medicine. She returned to New York where she joined Cohen Children's Hospital at the Urgent Care Center. She also has a private practice where she specializes in the care of children ranging from newborns up to twenty one years of age. She has as well incorporated her sports medicine training into her practice and runs a Sports Medicine clinic treating sport related injuries and teaching injury prevention strategies. As part of this, Dr. Gerberg also has a weight management program where she teaches healthy eating and exercise.
She is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1994. Dr. Gerberg has appeared on numerous informative shows talking about topics ranging from breast feeding to overuse sports injuries in children.
In addition to English, Dr. Gerberg is fluent in Spanish and French. Her interests outside of the practice of Pediatrics include spending time with her family, playing sports and enjoying music and the arts.
