Bio
Dr. Eichelberger is the Dean and Professor of the College of Health at Clayton State University in Atlanta GA. She holds a doctorate and masters of nursing science in maternal child nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Eichelberger has been a nurse for over thirty years holding positions of staff nurse, director of nursing, staff educator and professor of nursing. Dr. Eichelberger has co authored a popular textbook on Nursing Theory using an artistic approach to help beginning students understand the complex subject of nursing theory. Dr. Eichelberger is one of the pioneers of nursing theory on the World Wide Web. In 1996, she created one of the web’s most popular and earliest websites on nursing theory and has served as the sites’ webmaster for the past fourteen years. Dr. Eichelberger is a founding Board Member and President of the Healing Bridge Free Clinic where she volunteers weekly.
