Khurram Nasir, MD, MPH is Director of Research at Baptist Health Medical Group. Dr. Nasir joined Baptist Health from Yale New Haven Hospital, where he was a Clinical Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine. After receiving a Masters in Public Health in 2001 from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Nasir was a senior research assistant and a post-doctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins Hospital, an intern in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a fellow in the Department of Radiology/Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and an instructor at the Harvard School of Medicine. He also served as a resident in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center and a resident in radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. A frequent lecturer on coronary arthrosclerosis and cardiac imaging, Dr. Nasir has published 160 articles and more than 200 abstracts. He is a journal reviewer for numerous medical publications, including the International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, the American Journal of Public Health and the Journal of Cardiac Computed Tomography. Dr. Nasir graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan.
