David Ellis

Bio

Born in Hopewell, Dr. David Ellis graduated from Hopewell High School, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. After two years in the Navy in Key West, Florida, Dr. Ellis moved his family home to Hopewell to open his private practice. With the help of his dedicated staff including his wife, Julia, Dr. Ellis has enjoyed serving Hopewell since 1978. Dr. Ellis is the proud father of Jonathan and Cathon and the proud grandfather (Papa) of Abby, Claire, Brooklyn, and Carter. He and his wife live in Chester and are both active members of Wesley United Methodist Church in Hopewell.

Dr. Ellis is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Southside Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the Nottoway Study Club. He is a past president of both the Nottoway Study Club and the Southside Dental Society, and he is a delegate and recently selected Fellow to the Virginia Dental Association.
