In 2003-2005 I established a dental assisting program at ATA which is a proprietary school in Louisville, Kentucky. I took this school all the way through accreditation. Also, during this time I was a dental hygiene instructor for Elizabethtown Community and Technical Schoolassociated with UofK.

Finally, during this time I worked for UL in community dentistry. 2003-2005 I was recuperating from back surgery as well as maintaing my private practice which quite a trick.

Currently I am in full time private practice at Woodside Dental Center.

TUESDAY, May 14 (HealthDay News) -- Dentists, as it turns out, may have one more reason than the rest of us to be wary of alligators. The toothy reptiles may one day put those who install implants, bridges and dentures out of their jobs.

Deciduous teeth or 'baby' teeth or the first set of teeth that a person gets. There are twenty of them, ten teeth per arch. They, like permanent teeth, have a pulp chamber and enamel on the outer surface and dentin on the inside, next to the pulp. They also will decay just as the permanent teeth

How is a knocked out tooth treated?

Time is of the essence if this is a permanent tooth that your child has knocked out. If it is a baby tooth I wouldn’t worry about it except to maintain the space with a space maintainer. If it is a permanent tooth, the prognosis is very good to keep the tooth for ten years if you get it back into

How is a cracked tooth treated?

One of my first bad experiences in dentistry was from being too conservative and not treating a patients 'cracked tooth'. How does a root canal treat cavities?

Root canals treat cavities in no way at all: They treat a diseased nerve which is not tooth structure at all. Left alone, your tooth will become extremely sensitive

Decay is caused by bacteria, streptococcus mutants and some other bacteria that ingest sugars and produce acid. This acid dissolves

How are the teeth prepared for a crown?

First, let's talk about what got your tooth to the point of needing the crown. Again we go back to the partnership you have with your dentist in maintaining your oral health. What if I can't afford dental insurance?

One thing that you don't want to do is not go to the dentist. Even your cheapest dental insurance will cover your cleaning and exam twice a year.
