Alex Krempa

Bio

Dr. Alex Krempa was born in Mobile, Alabama. He graduated valedictorian from his high school and went on to complete an undergraduate degree at Birmingham-Southern College in Religion graduating summa cum laude with the distinct honor of Phi Beta Kappa. He continued his education at the University of Alabama - School of Dentistry in Birmingham completing his doctorate of dental medicine. Dr. Krempa won the Pre-doctoral Achievement Award by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Award.

Dr. Krempa is an active member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society, the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

In his spare time, Dr. Krempa can most likely be found out on a golf course. He played NCAA Division I Golf and was named ESPN's Academic All-American Golfer and the Big South Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year.

    How many dentist visits does it take to get a root canal?

    A root canal can be performed in one visit. However, sometimes due to infection or advanced anatomy, it may take multiple visits to complete a root canal. Importantly, it is not the number of visits, but the quality and disinfection occurring that is important.
