Douglas Fabick has been practicing nursing in a variety of educational, management and volunteer roles for the last 30 years. He helped establish the paramedic program in Southwest Missouri as one of the first paramedics ont he street and one of the first paramedic instructors in the area. In Emergency Department management he has been responsible for reduction of throughput times and improving customer service rankings. His involvement with the American Heart Association includes Tennessee Chair of the Quality Improvement Committee, Chair of the Northeast Tennessee Emergency Cardiac Care Committee, and Secretary of the Tennessee State Emergency Cardiac Care Committee. He as been an active instructor at the Regional Faculty level for the American Heart Association for the last 20 years in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support. Management roles have included Emergency Department Director for a department of 100 direct reports and 46,000 patient visits per year, Informaiton Systems Director, Learning Resources Director and House Supervision. He provides sommunity service as the Vice Chair of the Community Assessment and Planning Committee and serving on the Board of Directors of the Greater Kingsport United Way, serves as a Counsler for SCORE, and serves as a volunteer for Crossroads Medical Missions.
