Bio

Becky Austin-Morris, CDDN, APRN-BC. At Psychiatric & Counseling Associates in Leawood, Kansas; Johnson County Mental Health in Olathe, Kansas; and Marillac Children's Psychiatric Hospital & Residential Facility, Becky provides primary advanced practice nursing care, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

Becky received her Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Kansas with emphasis in psychiatric & mental health nursing. She was awarded the Colleen P. Kosiak Graduate Student Clinical Excellence Award and designated as a Janssen Scholar by the APNA in May, 2011. She is board certified as a Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC and a certified developmental disability nurse through the DDNA. Becky has a long history of psychiatric, mental health, and developmental disability nursing. As well as lengthy administrative and program direction experience. She is a member of APNA, DDNA, Sigma Theta Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, and Golden Key.

Becky works as a volunteer with: Special Olympics, United Way, Convoy of Hope; a past vice-president of the Kansas Developmental Disabilities Nursing Network; she is also a legal guardian.

She has particular experience and interest in Attachment disorders, Developmental disabilities including the autism and aspergers spectrum disorders, developmental trauma, and mood disorders.
