Like so many others, I have been on just about every diet known to mankind.  My pediatrician had my mother put me on a diet when I was 6 months old so I know what you are going through when trying to lose and/or maintain a healthy weight. Around the age of 40, I decided to give up dieting since I knew that none of them worked for me, and I started eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted.  However, I do pay close attention to portion size.  Within a very short period of time, my craving for sweets was gone, and my weight started to drop at a steady pace.  The other key factor in weight loss is exercise.  I had already been exercising, but I started working out 4 to 6 days per week incorporating both cardio and resistance training.

I have been in the fitness arena for close to 30 years and continue to pursue my passion to help others as a NASM Elite Trainer/Fitness Expert. Whether your goal is to lose weight, improve your health and fitness level, or recover from an injury, with your dedication I will help you achieve your goal.  To see what a few of my clients have to say about me  Click here .

It sounds like you may have plantar faciitis. Freeze a bottle of water, then roll your foot over it several times a day. Definitely stay off the machine for a few days. If you don't feel relief within a day or two, you should have your doctor check it out. In addition to the ice, I recommend foam rolling with an emphasis on your calves. I've attached a link for the foam rolling, but you can also see foam rolling instructions/videos from your fitness program. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Denise. Have you been logging your food? Have you re-evaluated how many calories you need to consume each day? I think you'll find that you need to reduce your caloric intake. Another reason people remain on a plateau after increasing activity level is because they do really well during the week, but have a cheat or two on the weekend.

Today is the 1st day after my 21 Day Ultimate Reset.  It was an interesting 21 days with many highs and lows.  Some days, my brain was in a fog and I was tired.  Other days I was so energetic I didn't know what to do with myself.  Sticking with the meal plan during Week 2 was difficult because I was constantly

Good Morning Ann. Thank you your your "movitvation speech". haha. But you are right. When I take too long of an exercise break it will "break" me. haha. I will become too lazy. I enjoyed your new News Letter about Hydration and of course I LOVE your "healthy pet" corner (for obvious reasons, haha). How is Lily doing by the way? Have a great rest of the day. Elke

Summer is coming, and here in the south, hydration is more important than ever.  As the humidity rises, we sweat more, which may lead to some serious dehydration if we aren't careful.  No matter where you live or what your climate, proper hydration is very important.

    Symptoms of Dehydration

Good Morning Ann, Thanks for checking on me. Everything is going "lowe impact" haha. Even my excercise is very low impact. My Fibromyalgia sickness is strong since the past weeks but I keep on doing "low impact things" so I don't lose the feeling for the exercising completely. haha. You know how it is. You take a break for too long and the motivation could be gone. Especially with me. Thanks for checking in with me and I wish you a wonderful, safe and HEALTHY weekend. Have fun. Elke
