Bio
Before that, I worked as a secretary, and operated a home-based typing and design business for many years.
I hold personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, fitness nutrition specialist and Sharecare Coach certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I first gained an interest in fitness while taking a personal fitness class in college. I decided to get certified as a personal trainer when working with trainers myself. While observing my trainers as they worked with me and other ciients, I was inspired by their ability to motivate and get positive results. They were understanding and willing to adapt exercise to accomodate my health issues. I dropped weight and got into the best shape of my life.
Besides fitness, I enjoy volunteering (particularly at local animal shelters these days, but also in community theatre, local charity events, the local hospital, and Special Olympics over the years.), walking, attending theatre productions, and travel. I moved with my husband from New York State to Southern Utah in 2007 and enjoy the warmer climate and beautiful scenery. We have six cats and a parrot that are lots of fun, good company and quite spoiled.
I'm available for online coaching. Email me at iwrite41@yahoo.com or visit my website (www.makingfitnessfun.com) for more information. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and love of fitness to help you meet your fitness goals.
