Amanda is has been a Registered Nurse for 7 years. A passionate patient and nurse advocate, she has a background in advanced heart failure and heart transplant and end of life/palliative care. She has experience working in the cardiothoracic surgery progressive care setting. Her passions include improving heart failure and Pulmonary Hypertension care and outcomes, public perception/knowledge of hospice and palliative care, encouraging early advance care planning dialogues and improving nurse to nurse relationships as a means of increasing RN morale, retention, and transforming the work environment. Amanda is currently pursuing her DNP-Adult Nurse Practitioner Degree, has started her own nurse consulting business as a patient and family nurse advocate.
