Suggested health-care reform addresses some health-insurance practices, such as denying coverage because of a persons medical condition. The New York Times outlined several parts of the reform in an interactive chart that boils down main points for people who are insured and pay on their own, those eligible for subsidized coverage, and several options for the uninsured. Beginning in 2014, a person cannot be denied coverage or charged higher premiums because of his or her health. Also that year, a family of four with an income of about $29,000 will be eligible for a rejuvenated Medicaid program. Less
