SOS Android App
The American Red Cross and Dr. Mehmet Oz have teamed up with Sharecare to create the ultimate emergency care app, exclusively for Android mobile devices. The S.O.S. app's step-by-step narration by Dr. Oz and emergency care demonstration videos allow people to quickly, confidently and effectively respond to common emergency situations. This free app also includes an expansive Resource Guide for easy access to additional emergency care information.
What features does the S.O.S. app have?
The S.O.S. app for Android offers emergency care protocols for more than 30 of the most common medical emergencies. The procedures were developed and reviewed by prestigious medical and educational panels from both the American Red Cross and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), and adapted for an Android app environment. Each protocol is accompanied by at least one video that walks through emergency action steps. Dr. Oz is the instructional voice of each video, guiding users on how to provide emergency care. 3-D animations are included for the more complex techniques -- notably Unconscious Choking and CPR, which also include an audio and visual counter for real-time CPR compressions. The collection of videos is appropriate for all audiences.
The Resource Guide covers more than 50 common emergency care situations and was adapted from current American Red Cross training materials. Information spans a broad range -- including how techniques for people who are choking, having seizures and have broken bones -- and is presented in a simple Q&A format.
The SOS app also features 911 dialing that auto launches a map with location information when a call with emergency dispatch is initiated. The app provides the same location information for 911 calls manually dialed from outside the app.
SOS app users can quickly access rich resource materials with voice recognition and keep personal emergency contact info handy at all times.
Yes, the S.O.S. app is free to download, install and use.
What devices will the S.O.S. app for Android work on?

If you are not running Android 2.1 or higher, or do not have a normal or large screen size, the application will not function on your device and will not be accessible via the store.

The S.O.S. app is currently available for the Android platform only.
Can I get this app on my iPhone, Blackberry or Palm?

Click on your Android phone's back button to return to the application from this screen.
Can I access the videos even if I don't have a connection?
Yes. Once you have downloaded the S.O.S. app and its accompanying videos to your Android smartphone, you can access them without a connection.

What is the purpose of entering "My Info" into the application's settings?
This helps others access your information quickly in an emergency situation.

Why are the 7 steps important and why do I have to complete them?
Dr. Oz and an elite team of health professionals have determined 7 important factors that affect your health. Based on research, each of the 7 areas of health can impact longevity, disease states and health risks. In order to qualify for Dr. Oz's Transformation Nation: Million Dollar You contest, and compete for the $1 million prize, each of the 7 steps must be properly completed. You are not required to complete these steps in any particular order.
Can I do all the steps at once or do I need to do them in order?
The steps for the plan do not need to be completed in order. However, official verified weigh-ins can only be completed within certain timeframes. Participants must visit a participating Weight Watchers location for an initial verified weigh-in between 9/2611 and 2/26/12 and then again for a final verified weigh-in between 4/2/12 and 4/9/12.
Can I still participate if my health status is "unhealthy"?
Absolutely, access to the plan is not restricted. Before starting any diet or fitness plan, please consult with your doctor or a healthcare professional. This plan is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Selection of the Top 200
Sponsor representatives will rank the top 200 entrants to advance to the next judging round ("Top 200") on or around 4/9/12 based on all eligible contestants' performance of the Initial Contest Requirements using the following criteria: Weight Loss or Improve your BMI—60% (based on "Weigh-In and Calculate Your BMI" performance); Social Engagement (based on "Refer a Friend" activity)—20%; and Health Knowledge (based on "Test Your Knowledge" performance)—20%. Each contestant will be scored based on Weight Loss or BMI improvement factors, but not both. The Weight Loss or BMI factor resulting in a higher ranking will apply along with the Social Engagement factor and Health Knowledge factor. In the event of a tie for the 200th contestant, all contestants who are the subject of the tie will advance to the next round of judging.
Selection of Top 50
A contest judging panel comprised of Dr. Oz show producers will contact the Top 200 on 4/10/12 for purposes of conducting an interview with each entrant regarding the entrant's inspiration, challenges, and goals related to Contest. The Top 200 must also complete an essay describing their inspiration, challenges, and goals related to Contest. Such interview may be taped or otherwise recorded. Essays must be sent to Sponsor in the manner requested by Sponsor and received by Sponsor by no later than 4/11/12 at 6 pm ET. Essays must not exceed 400 words in length and must be submitted in English. The judging panel will evaluate and judge the interviews and essays. The judging panel will select the top 50 entrants to advance to the next judging round ("Top 50") on or around 4/12/12 based on the interviews and/or essays using the following criteria: Transformation—40%; Inspiration—40%; and Communication Ability—20%.
Selection of 10 Finalists

Winner Selection
Between 5/7/12 and 5/13/12 (the "Voting Period"), visitors to the Contest Website will be allowed to vote for the Finalist they want to win the Contest in accordance with the instructions provided on the Contest Website based on the transformation and inspiration of each Finalist. The Finalist that receives the most votes during the Voting Period will be the potential winner, subject to verification.

Ultimate Health Quiz
The Health Quiz only lets me check one answer, but I don't always feel the same or eat the same. Why can't I check more than one answer?
This quiz is designed to give you a general overview of your health and healthy habits in order to give you suggestions on achieving a healthier lifestyle. Choose the answer that you believe represents how you usually feel or what you usually eat. And don't worry. You can always change your answers by clicking on the 'Retake the quiz' link under the stars at the top right of your summary page.
Number 5 on the Health Quiz doesn't have an answer that matches my situation. I don't exercise, because I'm disabled. What answer should I choose?
Because the Health Quiz is only designed to give you a general overview of your health and healthy habits, you can check any of the answers that best describe your level of physical activity. Don't worry about the "motivation" statements, because the purpose is to get an idea of your level of activity.
Number 12 on the Health Quiz asks if I eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, and beans. I don't like to eat beans, but I do eat a lot of fruit. Should I check the True button?
Yes, you can check the True button, even if you don't eat beans. Here, the goal is to get an idea of your eating habits, and if you are eating a lot of healthy fruits and/or vegetables, then you probably aren't eating other less healthy things.
Why can't i complete Question 17 on the Ultimate Health Quiz?
Be sure that you have a selected a value for each entry, including a "0" value if you have no children or adults in that age group in your household.
My Progress
I made a mistake when I entered my weight in My Progress. How do I change it?
From the "Transformation Nation" tab of your profile page, click on any of the links: 'current weight', 'currently feeling', or 'My Progress' to take you to Your Weight Progress window. Once there, click on any of the dates or weights that are incorrect, make your changes in the Enter Your Weight box, then click on the Submit button.
What are the smiley faces for? What do they mean?
The smiley faces are there as a way to record how you feel about your overall health habits at the time you are recording your weight. The faces could be described as follows: extremely happy, happy, neutral, unsatisfied, or unhappy.
By going into Your Weight Progress window, you can see a visual record of where you are and where you have been on the dates you recorded your weight. It's another way to help motivate you to succeed with your goal to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Is there a way to link my weight progress in the Transformation Nation plan to my progress in Move It and Lose It (or visa versa)?
No, these two plans are separate. While the overall goal of each is a healthier, happier you, the strategies used are a little different in each plan. If you are using both, congratulations! This demonstrates a real commitment to your health and well-being. Keep up the good work!
Will the progress I record on my Weight Progress window affect my chances of winning the million dollar prize?
Not exactly. The determination of Finalists for the million dollar prize is based on your official verified Weight Watchers start and ending weights. The importance of Your Weight Progress log is to help keep you motivated and on track with your weight loss (or maintenance) goals. See the Official Rules for more information on how to become a Finalist for the million dollar prize.
Ultimate Health Guides
Why can't I check all of the starred areas on "set up guides" at the bottom of my ultimate health quiz report?
As Dr. Oz says, one of the tricks to success is to work on only one or two topics at a time. Taking on more could be overwhelming and cause you to fall short on all your goals. Choose the one or two that you believe are the most important to start with. Then, once you have been successful with those, you can go back and select other areas to focus on.
How can I change my guides once I have selected them?
Start by clicking on View Report under the ultimate health quiz stars on the upper right of the "Transformation Nation" tab of your profile page. Scroll down to the bottom of your report, and click on the green "set up guides" button. Check the one or two issues you want to address next and the date you plan to start using the little calendar, then click the Submit button.
Once you return to the "Transformation Nation" tab of your profile page, you will see the one or two issues listed under ultimate health guidance under the stars at the top right of the page.
I clicked on a link in the View My Topics page, but I don't know how to get back to the view My Topics page without closing my browser and starting all over.
You can quickly get back to the View My Topics page using the tabs at the top of your browser. Just click on the tab that starts with: stage.tnprogram.sharecare. This will take you back to your calendar. Once back at the calendar, use the back arrow at the top of the page to return to your summary page.
Refer a Friend Step
Why do I have to tell a friend?
This step is an integral part of Dr. Oz's Transformation Nation plan. Sharing your journey with your friends can help keep you motivated. In addition, you'll be helping your friends uncover their best selves. This plan lays out the steps that you and your friends can conquer together to establish a healthier lifestyle and a healthier nation. From knowing our family health history to getting a better night's sleep, each step provides valuable health insights that are good for everyone.
If I don't tell a friend, can I still participate?
Absolutely! Although you won't be eligible to be a contestant for the million dollar prize, the true benefit of the plan is creating a healthy and happy life!
Do I need to have a Facebook account to enter the contest?
No, a Facebook account is not required. The Tell a Friend step can be accomplished with either your e-mail or with Twitter.

In addition, the report provides you with information you can use in working with your doctor to optimize your health and well-being. Assessment
I cannot complete the online assessment. I see green buttons that say Next or Begin, but when I click them nothing happens. I get an error that says scwizard stopped working.
Some of our users have reported issues getting beyond various points in the online assessment.
- First, if you get to the Goal Weight portion of the assessment, be sure you are entering your goal weight on the last screen rather than goal weight loss. In other words, if you weigh 150 pounds and want to lose 10 pounds, enter 140, rather than 10.
- If your browser asks you if you want to "run Scripts" or allow Sharecare or DotFit to send/receive information on the pages, please click Yes, Allow or Continue. If you are stuck on the release form section, be sure you check the waiver box there.
- If you are still having trouble, we've found that issues like yours may have to do with settings in your internet browser or incompatibility. We suggest upgrading your internet browser to the latest version or trying another free internet browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome. You can find these by searching for them at www.google.com.
Please let us know if any of these steps resolves your issue to help us narrow down what's happening for our other users. If not, reply directly to this email (not in a new email) and let us know the internet browsers you have tried and you computer's operating system so our tech team can continue to work on your issue.
I'm unable to set the weight goal I want to achieve.
For Weight Loss programs, the system should automatically set the weeks needed to reach your goal after you have entered your goal weight. Make sure you enter your goal weight and not the amount of pounds you wish to lose, then press "Next."
However, if the weeks are not changed automatically, please re-enter your goal and timeline based on the program's recommended one pound per week.
If you have selected the Improve Health program, which is not intended for weight loss, you will not be able to change your goal weight. If you are looking to lose weight, click on Change Goals in your My Goals section of the Summary tab and select Lose Weight on the first screen, or use the back button on your browser if this is your first assessment.
How do I restart the Assessment if I closed it mid-way?
Please click your Fitness tab on your Profile Page. This will take you to the Assessment. If at any point you want to retake the assessment, click on your Fitness tab, then on Change Goals in your My Goals section of the Summary tab. Although this will reset your start date, it will not delete any entries you've made in your Food Log or Exercise Log.
If you are experiencing other issues, please contact info@sharecare.com with the specific experience you are having, including any error messages you may be receiving.
What happens to my logged info if I Change Goals? Will I lose my information if I create a new program?
This will not delete any entries you've made in your Food Log, Exercise Log or any Exercise Programs that you have created.
Summary
How do I edit my personal statistics?
- From your Summary, click the Settings tab and then Personal Statistics.
- Click Edit and make the desired changes, and then click Save.
How do I change my goal on the platform?
To change your goal, you must click Change Goal within you're My Goals section of the Summary tab. There are some stipulations though:
- This will reset your Start Date for your program, however, any weight loss that you've already progressed through is viewable by clicking All on your Progress Tracker under the Summary tab. This will show you your progress since originally starting with the Sharecare Fitness application.
- Any meals, menus, favorite foods or exercises you have already logged will remain in your new program.
Please note: If you tried to change your start weight by editing your Personal Statistics without going through the steps above, the program assumes you entered that change as "measurement" and shows it as a change from your original start weight.
What do the different Calories Burned numbers mean?
The top number (Daily Target) is the number of calories you will need to burn today in order to reach your weight-loss goal in the time you selected when you started the program.
The second number (Burned Lifestyle) is the number of calories you burn during a 24 hour period, just by breathing, eating, and even sleeping! This number is based in part on the level of activity you selected when you started the program.
The next number (Burned Exercise) shows the number of calories you burned based on the exercises you logged during the day. You can go in as many times as you want and log more exercises to increase that number. You can even go back to days that you missed and enter the exercises you might have forgotten to log. Note that Burned Exercise will deduct from your running Burned Lifestyle total, as your activity is already assumed based on your Assessment.
The last number (Left to Burn) shows how many calories you still need to burn. It will slowly creep lower as the day progresses (based on your Burned Lifestyle and Burned Exercise calories).
How can I change my calorie burn target?
The Calories Burned Daily Target on your Summary tab are estimated based on the level of exercise you checked when you created your profile and are used as a benchmark to calculate the number of calories you need to consume each day in order to reach your weight loss goal.
- To change this target, you must create a new program and select a different activity level.
- From your Summary tab, click Change Goal under your My Goals section.
- Select your desired goal and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Under question #4 on the assessment, select a different activity level that describes your lifestyle, including your intended exercise regime while using Sharecare Fitness.
- Finish creating the new program and return to your Summary tab to see the updated calorie burn target.
What does the chart at the bottom of the Summary tab represent?
The chart at the bottom of the Summary shows your goal path in black, your estimated weight when you're logging food in purple, and your actual results in orange based on your measurements. Your actual results are plotted after you enter your weight each week during the progress checks and any additional weights you record using the Measurement Log.
Will my program tell me if I do not hit my goal?
