Add or Edit Your Profile Picture
Step-by-Step

  1. Click on the Profile tab near the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Mouse over your Profile Picture and click the Edit button

  3. Select an image from your computer.

    • Image must be in jpg, png, or gif format

    • 300x300 pixels at 72 dpi is the ideal image size

    • Make your image a square if it is not 300x300 pixels

  4. Click Save and your Profile will be update automatically.
When selecting an image, keep in mind that this image will appear next to all of your answers and activity on Sharecare. This is a great opportunity to show consumers a little piece of your personality and your professionalism.

Add or Edit Your Bio
Step-by-Step

  1. Click on the Profile tab near the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Click the green Edit button next to your Bio.

  3. Click in the box to begin typing your bio.

  4. Click Save and your Profile Page will be updated automatically.
Your bio is a big part of how people will get to know you and your practice on Sharecare. This is an opportunity to engage your audience and connect with consumers on a more personal level. Tell people a little bit about yourself and your experience in healthcare.

Add or Edit Your Credentials
Step-by-Step

  1. Click on the Profile tab near the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Click the green Credentials button located beneath your Bio section.

  3. Click Add Entry to enter a new credential.

    • Simply click to type in the fields

  4. Click Save and your Profile Page will be updated automatically.
The Credentials tab is a great place to display your experience in the healthcare industry. You can enter the information from your CV or resume in the different fields. If you cannot find a field that fits your expertise, we suggest using the Additional Certifications and Specialty Qualifications field.

Add Books to Your Profile Page
Step-by-Step

  1. Click on the Profile tab near the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Click on the button in the Books module to add a new book. located on the right hand side of your profile, under your profile image.

  3. Use the dropdown menu to select a Publisher.

  4. Find your book on Amazon and enter the ASIN or 10 digit ISBN number (one or the other will work).

  5. Click Lookup and the system will fill in all the information for the book.
To find the ASIN number for your book on Amazon, go to the page for your book on Amazon.com. In the URL for that page, look for a series of numbers near the middle of the URL in between two / marks. This is the ASIN number.

The system uses the ASIN and ISBN numbers to pull all of the information for the book onto your Profile Page on Sharecare. You will not need to enter any other information, and the fields will not let you add/edit information.

Add Your Video Feed
Step-by-Step

  1. Click on the Profile tab near the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Click on the Add videos to your profile button in the Video module, located on the right side of your page below your profile image.

  3. Click and paste the URL for the RSS feed of your videos.

  4. Click Add Feed and your Profile Page will be updates automatically.

YouTube Channels & Playlists

When adding a YouTube channel or playlist, you must first convert the channel or playlist into an RSS feed. To do this, click on the RSS feed button in your browser (examples in the image above). This will give you the URL for the actual RSS feed, which is what you will need to use for your Sharecare Profile Page. Now you will need to change the URL a little bit for it to work correctly on Sharecare.

URL Changes for YouTube Channel

First, make sure the URL begins with http:// not feed://. Then make alt=rss& the end of the URL, deleting anything in the URL that comes after this. The example below has the areas that need changing in bold, and then the new URL with the changes in bold.

Original URL: feed://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/users/DoctorOz/uploads?alt=rss&v=2&orderby=published&client=ytapi-youtube-profile

URL Changes for Youtube Playlist

First, double-check that the URL begins with http://. Then change /api/ to /base/ between /feeds/ and /playlists/. Finally, add ?alt=rss to the end of the URL. The Example below has the area that need changeing in bold, and then the new URL with the changes in bold.

Add or Edit Links
Step-by-Step

  1. Click on the Profile tab near the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Locate the Links section below your Bio as shown in the screenshot to the left.

  3. Click the Add button next to the Links section

  4. Click to type the Title and URL for the link (Note: The Title will appear on your Profile Page, not the URL. Titles are limited to 100 characters).

  5. Click Save and your Profile Page will be updated automatically.

  6. Once you have added your first Link, you'll notice the Add button changes to an Edit button. Click the Edit button to Edit or Delete a existing Link.
Links are a great place to direct poeople to your Hospital's or Practice's website. Adding a link for people to make an appointment is a way to attract new patients. You can have up to six links in your recommends section. They are quick and easy ways to direct people to learn more about you and your work or gain new clients.

Recommend Content on Sharecare
Step-by-Step

  1. Click on the Profile tab near the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Click on the Answers tab.

  3. Click the Add button next to the section stating "[Your Name] recommends:

  4. Click to type the Title and URL for the link (Note: The Title will appear on your Profile Page, not the URL. Titles are limited to 100 characters).

  5. Click Save and your Profile Page will be updated automatically.

  6. Click Save and your Profile Page will be updated automatically.

  7. Once you have added your first Link, you'll notice the Add button changes to an Edit button. Click the Edit button to Edit or Delete a existing Link.
Use this section of your expert profile to highlight content from Sharecare such as Answers. This section is a great place to highlight your provided content that you think Sharecare users would be most interested in. Note that this section only allows Sharecare.com links. For other links, use the Links module as described in the Add or Edit Links section above.
