    Walking is certainly one of the best things you can do for your overall health. But before starting on a program be sure to talk to your doctor before you begin. Walking is good for your heart, blood pressure and for managing your weight. Walking at a brisk pace gives you the same aerobic benefits as jogging. Start off with short 10 minute walks until you can manage 30 to 45 minutes of exercise every day. This will reduce the risk of cancers, heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes. Wear good shoes and socks and ensure that you stay hydrated.
