Dr. De Vizio of Colgate answered:
You should experience little discomfort if your dentist uses indirect dental bonding to repair a damaged tooth. Before starting the procedure, your dentist will give you local anesthesia. This medicine makes your mouth numb. If you have ever had a bad reaction to local anesthesia, tell your doctor. If necessary, your dentist may give you additional medicine to minimize pain and any anxiety you may be feeling.
