Should I do any cardio while training to compete for powerlifting?

    Cardiorespiratory training will not improve your performance in power lifting specifically. Cardiorespiratory training will however improve your over all health, and light cardio can help increase recovery times from workouts. If pure powerlifting competition is your only goal than cardio is not advised as this energy should go towards enhancing lifting performance. On light or off days, cardiorespiratory training can be done to help improve cardiorespiratory health and efficiency.
