Why is vaccination important for me as I age?

Dr. Kelly Traver answered:Staying up to date on vaccinations is an important way for you, as an adult, to stay healthy. A couple of decades ago, people became concerned that preservatives in vaccines might be the cause of a rise in the prevalence of autism. This concern has proven false, yet because these people did not get vaccinated or vaccinate their children, we are seeing a rise in some serious, previously rare diseases. Measles, for example, has been reported in growing numbers. If you don't have an up-to-date vaccination record, I urge you to create one now. You can keep your vaccination records online, for example, at Google Health or Microsoft Health Vault, in your own personal health record.
