I recommend to eat organic as much as possible to avoid exposure of pesticides, PCB's, dioxins, horomones, to your developing fetus. Remember, a fetus does not have a functioning liver the same way you or I do as adults, thus it is even MORE important to protect a fetus from these harsh chemicals and heavy metals so prevealent in society today, as their body to immature in its deveopment at this stage to properly filter them out.
Chemicals and other environmental factors are currently being studied to examine their role in various neurobehavioral disorders such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
Eating lower quality foods containing fake sweetners like high fructose corn syrup is generally associated with pregancy onset diseases like gestational diabetes.
