Copaxone (glatiramer) is prescribed for people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). This is the most common type of multiple sclerosis (MS). People with this form of the disease may have relapses followed by periods of recovery. Their symptoms may not be active for many months or years. Copaxone helps reduce these relapses. People who have been newly diagnosed can benefit from this treatment.
