    You should not receive Erwinaze (asparaginase Erwinia chrysanthemi) if you've taken it before and experienced a serious allergic reaction, such as anaphylactic shock. You also should not receive Erwinaze if you've taken the drugs Elspar or Oncaspar before and developed serious pancreatitis or serious blood coagulation problems (clotting or hemorrhaging). It's important to note that Erwinaze is specifically intended for people who have previously taken Elspar or Oncaspar and experienced serious allergic reactions to them, including anaphylactic shock.
