Factual information includes details about how the disease progresses and the typical mental and behavioral changes at each stage. There are many books and Web sites available on this topic.
You also need supportive information to ease your feelings and worries. Ask your doctor for his or her suggestions about the best among the many resources available, including counseling and support groups. The Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) is another invaluable place to start.
