You should call your doctor while taking Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil) if you experience side effects that are bothersome, persistent or unusual. For instance, in rare cases, this medication for restless legs syndrome can cause suicidal thoughts.

Call your doctor immediately if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction:
    • rash
    • fever
    • yellowing of the skin or eyes
    • difficulty swallowing
    • swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips or eyes
Check with your doctor before starting any new prescription or non-prescription drugs, herbal remedies, supplements or vitamins while you're taking Horizant.

Call your doctor if you become pregnant or want to start trying to conceive, or if you want to start nursing your baby.
