What are symptoms of traumatic compartment syndrome?

National Athletic Trainers’ Association answered:Traumatic compartment syndrome can be caused by blunt force. The symptoms include severe pain or achy, sharp or dull pains, muscular tightness, cramping, swelling, weakness, or not being able to exercise because of pain. The skin may appear shiny and swollen. The feel of the leg can be hard and painful when touched. Being seen by a doctor as soon as possible is highly recommended.
