    Monthly mood changes are a thing of the past during postmenopause. If your moods vary, you and your doctor should look for other causes, such as depression, stress, or anxiety. Postmenopause may be associated with discomforts such as vaginal dryness or pain with sexual intercourse. Another medical issue that can arise is unexpected urine loss. Hot flashes may persist into the postmenopausal years, but they are not likely to begin then.
