What are the symptoms of interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome?
-
Interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome symptoms can vary from person to person or vary for an individual. The main symptom of IC/PBS is pain, which can change in intensity and frequency. This pain can be in the bladder or the perineal area, which for women is the area between the vagina and anus and for men the scrotum and anus. Other symptoms may include pain in the pelvis during sexual intercourse, or a frequent need to urinate, sometimes as many as 60 times per day.
