What are the symptoms of hyperfunctioning thyroid nodules?

Individuals with hyperfunctioning thyroid nodules may feel a lump or notice swelling in their neck. They may also display certain symptoms as a result of producing too much of a specific thyroid hormone. These symptoms include unexpectedly and quickly losing weight or a fast heart rate. Sweating, tremors, fatigue, and gastrointestinal problems may also appear. In some situations, though, you may not experience symptoms or even notice the lump.
