    Too much fluoride over a long period of time can cause staining of the teeth, called fluorosis. Call your doctor right away if you experience an upset stomach or vomiting, a salty or soapy taste in your mouth, a rash, weakness, shaking or seizures after taking a lot of fluoride at once.
