Seroquel (quetiapine) can cause drowsiness, so avoid driving or using heavy machinery until you know how the medication will affect you. Alcohol can increase Seroquel's side effects. Seroquel also can make you more susceptible to certain infections, so it is important to minimize your exposure to illnesses. The drug may affect your body's ability to cool itself, so avoid prolonged exposure to the sun or extremely warm environments.
