Stacy Wiegman answered:Antidepressant medications, including Lexapro (escitalopram), can cause drowsiness, and individuals taking this drug should exercise caution before driving or operating dangerous machinery until they know how they will be affected. Alcohol should be avoided by those taking Lexapro. Do not take other medications, supplements, over-the-counter medications or herbs without first consulting your doctor.
