    Fluid buildup in the lungs, a severe loss of coordination and trouble thinking clearly are all indicators of severe Acute Mountain Sickness. The party experiencing the symptoms needs to be taken to a low altitude,preferably under 4,000 feet (1,219.2 m). AMS can be deadly at the severe stage.
