What is septic shock in sepsis?

  1. Septic shock is the reaction to a progressed stage of sepsis. During septic shock, the blood pressure drops severely low along with all other sepsis symptoms, making it a life-threatening condition. Blood pressure remains abnormally low with septic shock, in spite of treatment. Septic shock is so serious that it must be treated immediately with antibiotics and fluid must be given intravenously to increase the blood pressure.
