Great Question. Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis of exclusion for an Orthopedic Surgeon meaning when all surgical/non surgical causes are ruled out fibromyalgia is considered. An Orthopedic Surgeon, Rheumatologist , Internist all have different level of training for this problem. If you have fibromyalgia see a few different consultants.
