These mental illnesses may lead to drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, risky or promiscuous behavior, and breaking the law. A person with these disorders may be violent, either to others or themselves by self-harm or suicide attempts. They may be aggressive, socially isolated, and may have strained relationships with healthcare professionals.
