    Other options for self-employed health insurance coverage include health care sharing programs. They are not considered health insurance plans, so contributions cannot be deducted as health premiums. You can, however, deduct the full cost of your medical expenses allowed by the IRS.  Look for an established program with a good track record. Many are church-based or Christian, with members from across the country and even around the globe.
