Herbalists and naturopaths use a number of botanicals to relieve symptoms of asthma -- expectorants such as lobelia, sanguinaria, and grindelia, for example -- although we aren't aware of any that have undergone the kind of trial that would qualify it for basic clinical treatment in our practice.
