This includes high blood pressure or any heart problems, diabetes, seizure disorders or an overactive thyroid. Although albuterol may be harmful to an unborn baby if used by a pregnant woman, breathing difficulties may also be harmful to a developing fetus and the woman. An overdose of Proventil HFA can be fatal.
