When you are caring for someone with fibroadenoma, remember to be attentive to their concerns, particularly if they are worried about the increased risk of breast cancer in later life. Make sure that your loved one performs regular breast self-examinations to monitor the size or quantity of the lumps. Encourage them to talk to their doctor about any changes and about regular screening with mammograms and breast ultrasound. You can also help your loved one in the process of deciding how to treat their condition.
