Trandolapril, also known by the brand name Mavik, is a medication in a class known as angiotensin-converting enzymes (ACE) inhibitors. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It also is used after a heart attack and to help improve the symptoms in people with congestive heart failure (CHF). Trandolapril works by relaxing the vessels, thereby reducing the pressure on them.
