Rhabdomyosarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the body's skeletal muscles. Skeletal muscles are the muscles that we can control and move, such as those in our limbs, necks, and faces. There are a few different types of rhabdomyosarcoma that can form in different parts of the body, but most of them affect children more commonly than adults. In fact, rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common type of childhood soft tissue cancer.
