Anytime you move from one point to the next that is physical activity. For example: When ever you sit on a couch and decide to get up to retrieve a bag of chips or a fruit salad try to stand up and sit down 10-15 times or to failure. That is a full workout that will help to target your Midsection, Glutes, and Quadricep muscles. In order to get fit you have to incorporate physical activities that will require reps, sets, distance, intensity, duration and frequency. As a beginner you can simply take a short walk around your neighbor hood or clean your whole entire house. Have Fun.

Physical activity is any activity above resting that requires physical exertion. Everything from chores around the house, walking to the mail box, walking up the stairs, to a heavy workout all count as physical activity. Sitting and watching TV, sitting at your desk at work, driving a car, or sleeping do not count as physical activity because you are essentially at rest.  The more physical activity you can accumulate in a day and a week the healthier you will be. Health experts recommend that you accumulate a minimum of 150 minutes of physical activity a week. This can be as simple as walking to get your mail and parking further away from work and stores and include chores around your house, or can be things like sports and going to the gym. The more increase your physical activity the better.
