What is hypoesthesia of the hand?
-
National Athletic Trainers’ Association answered:If your hand and fingers are numb, you likely have some kind of nerve injury. The numbness you are experiencing is called hypoesthesia. Damage to the nerve could be caused by direct trauma, overuse, compression, or tension. An injury to your wrist, elbow, shoulder, and neck could also cause the numbness you are experiencing. You should see you doctor, who can determine where the numbness is coming from and the best way to treat this injury.
