    Compression neuropathies are characterized by damage to a single nerve or a group of nerves due to compression or entrapment of a nerve in a limited anatomical space. It can lead to loss of sensation, weakness, tingling and burning pain, and loss of movement or other functions of that nerve. Carpal tunnel syndrome of the wrist is one such neuropathy.
