Breast cysts are sacs filled with fluid that occur in the breast. They are more common in younger women.

Breast cysts may require treatment if they are large or cause pain. Treatment consists of a fine needle aspiration of the cyst. In a fine needle aspiration, your doctor numbs the affected area with anesthesia, inserts a fine needle and removes the affected tissue.
