    Dr. Mehmet Oz answered:
If you have a hormonal disorder avoid eating refined sugars and flours, saturated animal fats, and trans fats. Alcohol and caffeine can send your hormones on a roller coaster ride, pumping you and then dropping you down. If your thyroid is out of sync (either too high or too low), ask your doctor whether you should steer clear of "goiterogens" -- foods that interfere with thyroid function. These include: cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, mustard greens), canola oil, peanuts, flaxseed (linseed), pine nuts, millet, and cassava. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
