If you have low back pain, try doing the following exercises:

    Walking

Walking is always a winner! You can walk outside if the weather is nice or indoor on a treadmill -- rain or shine. If you're a beginner, start by walking 5 to 10 minutes at a time, gradually moving up to at least 30 minutes per session.

Interval walking -- outdoors or on the treadmill

Adding interval training to your cardiovascular workout can boost fitness, burn more calories and help you lose weight. The basic idea is to vary the intensity. Whether you're walking outside or on a treadmill, push up the pace for a minute or two, then back off for 2-10 minutes. Do this throughout the workout.

    Biking

Biking is a popular activity because you can ride anywhere, any time. You can either ride on a stationary bike at the gym or get some fresh air by hitting the open road. Beginners should start by being properly fitted to the equipment. Ride 5 to 10 minutes at a time, gradually moving up to at least 30 minutes per session. As you develop a routine, lengthen the time of your rides before increasing your speed or intensity.
