Here is a good exercise for your hamstrings:

Stand and hold the back of a chair for balance. First with one leg, then the other, slowly lift your heel toward your buttocks. Hold for a breath or two, lower slowly. Repeat 10 to 15 times, each leg. In a gym, look for the "leg curl" machine.

Two great exercises for the hamstrings are deadlifts and bridges:

    • Deadlift – use picture below for reference. Your goal, bend at your hips and knees. The focus is to feel the hamstring work through the motion.
    • Bridge – Lie on your back, bring your heels close to your hips. Have palms facing the ceiling. Lift hips off the ground, driving weight through heels. Form straight line from shoulders to knees and return to start.
