What should I discuss with my doctor during week 11 of pregnancy?

In week 11, you're probably in between scheduled doctor's appointments. In some cases, now is the time that doctors will recommend certain tests, especially chorionic villus sampling (CVS). This test (which looks for genetic abnormalities) is usually done between weeks 9 and 11, so talk to your doctor if you think you may want this type of testing. At this point, doctors may also be able to do ultrasounds to produce images of your baby to look for potential problems. Talk to your doctor to see if any of these procedures may be a good idea for you, and also continue to ask any questions as they come up.
