If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then eyelashes are the window shades.

Because the eyes are one of the first things people notice about each other, they are also on the front lines of the battle against aging. And, as you age, you may very well find yourself having to be very creative, and make a little bit seem to go a long way, because eyelashes and eyebrows both get thinner with age.

So brows, for instance, should be well-defined. The less hair you have, the more that your stray hairs will be noticed. A pencil is a fine tool to create definition and fill in the divots. When it comes to your eyelashes, use a volumizing mascara to plump you up.

Back in the day, eye shadow and eyeliner may have been the prime weapons in your ocular beauty arsenal. But honey, those days are over. Mascara is now your best friend, because aging is even more noticeable on your thinned out eyelids. Shimmers and metallics? Put those away in your memory chest. Those products just make the creases seem like fault lines. Same thing with liquid eyeliner. That tends to run into your eye wrinkles, making them look like the canals on Mars.
