    Canker sores, joint pain and tender lumps on the legs are common complications that arise in patients with ulcerative colitis, a form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Arthritis complications develop in 25 percent of patients. Eye problems occur in five percent of patients, you might also find yourself with skin problems if you develop UC.
